Estate agency brand, Fine & Country, has unveiled ambitious plans to accelerate its international expansion, targeting at least five new premium overseas markets as it looks to build on 25 years of growth in the UK residential sector.

As part of the strategy, Jonathan Handford, who stepped in as Interim Managing Director, has been retained as a consultant with responsibility for driving international expansion.

Fine & Country said Handford’s experience and deep understanding of the brand will play a key role in spearheading growth across priority territories.

The business has also strengthened its international infrastructure with the appointment of Tara O’Donovan as International Onboarding Manager.

Returning to Fine & Country in this newly created role, O’Donovan will oversee the onboarding of international licensees, delivering a structured, end-to-end programme designed to ensure consistency, operational confidence and alignment with the brand’s premium positioning.

Nicky Stevenson, Managing Director of Fine & Country, said: International expansion has always been part of Fine & Country’s DNA, but 2026 will mark a step change in our ambitions.

She added: Our goal is to expand into at least five additional premium international markets during the year, making cross-border growth a clear strategic priority. We see significant opportunity to build on our strong reputation and proven model, while supporting our network with increased global reach.

Fine & Country said expanding its international footprint is expected to unlock new referral opportunities across its network, as high-net-worth clients increasingly approach ownership with a global mindset.
