London share prices are set to open slightly lower on Tuesday, with investors likely to focus on a raft of UK economic data, particularly inflation figures.

The UK consumer, retail and producer price indices all are due at 0930 BST, together with the DCLG house price index.

Already out Tuesday, the British Retail Consortium said like-for-like retail sales in the UK declined 1.0% on year in March, worse than the 0.3% decline expected and following a 0.4% fall in February.
