The anti-letting agency fee pressure group Generation Rent is urging its supporters to participate in the government formal consultation over agents’ charges saying “we need a ban as soon as possible.”
The group’s website says that Theresa May “has broken her word” by calling a snap General Election after previously ruling one out; it says she should not be allowed to break her word over the proposed fees ban.
“Whoever forms the next government needs to hear a strong message from England’s private renters that we need that ban as soon as possible” it claims.
