Berkshire has among the fewest public toilets per 100,000 people of anywhere in the UK, according to new figures.
New data, retrieved the number of public toilets from PeePlace, which is a toilet finding website, showed the county had the fewest public facilities per 100,000 people in the country, alongside Merseyside and Greater Manchester.
Slough has very few public toilets and features in QS Supplies list of cities/towns in the UK with the fewest toilets per 100,000 people.
The city with the fewest toilets is Liverpool with four toilets per 100,000, followed by Stoke-On-Trent with five, Northampton with five, Hull with five, Aberdeen with six, Newcastle-upon-Tyne with 6, Southend-on-sea with six and then Slough which also has six toilets.
The City of London was removed from the data set due to its status as a metropolitan area.

In recent years parts of Berkshire have witnessed the closure of public toilets, either to help cut costs or because the facilities have been vandalised.
West Berkshire Council announced that they would be closing some public toilets in Pangbourne in 2015, much to the dismay of residents who got together to protest the closure.
In 2017, Action for Pangbourne Toilets raised £11,000 to reopen the toilets and even secured a 99-year lease from the council.
In Reading, a number of public toilets have also been shut down in recent years, although this has been put down to anti-social behaviour and vandalism, as well as cost-saving.
