Gloucester properties one of the most expensive in the UK

Gloucester is one of the top 20 least affordable cities to live in the UK according to a new study.

Lloyds bank compared average earnings to house prices throughout the UK and has named Gloucester the UK’s 20th least affordable city.

Oxford was named the least affordable city in the UK and there was space in the top 20 for Bath and Bristol.

During the period of 2012 to 2017 Gloucester saw significant house price increases, growing 45 per cent from an average house price of £147,093 in 2012 to £213,473 in 2017 in the 12 months to January.
